I'm Alive!!!
Feb. 25th, 2007 03:12 pmI've nearly completely recovered from my hangover, self-inflicted I know, but still *very* painful.
The details leading up to the painful awakening were thus:
My friend from work had a spare ticket to see a band called "Gossip" at the Astoria, a music venue in the West End of London.
I got there early, and he phoned to say he was going to be late so I popped round the corner to a pub where my friends a barman and had a pint, Sean then called me to say he was there and we went in to see the band.
Much fun, and beer, was had as Gossip are a terrific 3-piece band whose lead singer, Beth Ditto, has a terrific voice. Afterwards, I went back to the pub and had another couple of pints at the 12 Bar Club while a punk band massacred the songs of "The Sex Pistols." Well, that's what it sounded like anyway.
After proceeding home, I woke up at 1:30 this afternoon, staggered downstairs and gulped some asprin, then crawled back into my bed. I'm only now starting to feel human again.
