Suggestions requested

I've been ill for about a week and am finally better. I actually got dressed and left the house yesterday, unfortunately that was to go to work, but these things happen.

Anyway, as many of you may have heard The Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin is coming this Spring to HBO and I find myself wondering whether or not to read to read the books or listen to the unabridged audiobooks.  I've heard countless recommendations and I definitely plan to read/listen to one of them.

I'm also planning on buying a video recorder for myself ths christmas as I've decided to start making videos on youtube and I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a inexpensive camera. Please remember that I'm a low level council employee.

I'd appreciate any advice given,
