It's alive! It's alive!!! muahaha
Nov. 16th, 2007 11:05 pmGreetings!
Earlier tonight my home suffered a powercut. Now this has happened before so I recognised the symptoms, dimmed lights, no net access, power surges, etc. so I was able to prepare, torch, candles, ipod, book.
Anywho, I had today off work and decided to go see Beowulf as it was a)written by Neil Gaiman and b) about a young Ray Winstone killing monsters along with Angelina Jolie being a hot demonmama. Literally. Now it was partly animated-ish meaning CGI with a result that some bits were practically camera perfect, some parts and people were poorly rendered with the action parts of the movie being amazing scenes of badassery with brilliant visuals.
The acting, for an animated movie, was pretty good, with Ray Winstone and Brian Gleeson playing the almost psychotic glory hunting hero and his loyal tough liutenant, Anthony Hopkins as the cursed lecherous King and John Malkovich and Robin Wright Penn as suspicious advisor and haunted resigned Queen respectively.
If you get a chance, watch it in 3D as it will greatly increase your viewing pleasure, but overall a very entertaining summer action movie that I will definitely be watching again.
