Died with a bang, not a whimper
Feb. 10th, 2008 01:36 amYes, after many, okay 3 years of use. And it was already second hand, my PC has died. Technically.
Anyway, the full story is that on Thursday evening, my PC made a loud bang and shut down, it was hot to the touch so I thought, or rather hoped, that it may of just have overheated, I shut everything down and waited for morning, unfortunately no change.
Thankfully due to my friendly local PC repair guy, he took away my PC later *that night* told me that a piece of machinery had exploded and it would be very expensive to repair, but that for £50 he could save all my files and software to an external hard drive. I am now sitting in my room with my new Toshiba Laptop listening to my songs, with all my DL'd apps.
And it turns out that my new laptop is much better than my old PC, and was cheaper too.

I joke =P I love my PC ^_^
And thanks for the screeeeen! So much better than my old one.
Next time Am's over I'll ask him to take a look at your laptop and make any required adjustments? But he hates Vista as much as me. Maybe he can install XP? Or, if you're lucky, Linux! But then he'll never leave your room, and as much as you and Am get on, I am not willing to share him...
Best regards,
The Brat ~
