I am a huge fan of the X-Files from back when it first aired in the UK, and now the second movie is out, I have something to ask of my internet flisters.

Should I pay £10 and see this in the cinema, and if not, is it worth having on DVD?

Where are you coming from? Are you primarily a fanfic reading Mulder and Scully shipper? If Y, then go see the film. If not, wait for DVD. As a movie it's not much cop (IMO, YMMV and all that crap) and has undertones of ick and slasher-movie nastiness.

However it does have about a million fannish tropes in it and a lot of love between the central pairing and if that floats your boat, go.

I was never really a shipper, much more a fan of the stories, and I've heard this isn't a great one. I'll catch it later on, Cheers!
