Aug. 22nd, 2008 07:30 pmI've been watching the events go on in Georgia and South Ossetia, and a lot of the news I've been hearing is, although second hand, near universally anti-russian.
The events, as far as I'm aware happened like this, South Ossetia views itself as, since 1992, an independent nation, Georgia disagrees and sends in troops,. Refugees flee to Russia and the Russians counter-attack, Georgia says Russia trying to destroy Georgian democracy and because Georgia is pro-West and anti-russian, a certain Western government makes it sound like the Russians are the aggressors.
