mymatedave10My copy of Caligula for President by Cintra Wilson arrived yesterday, I read about thanks to this link on BoingBoing.net and I'm halfway through this very funny and disturbing book already.
I was talking to my Dad about it and he said I was obsessed with America, I tried to defend myself by explaining that it's not "America" itself that I find fascinating when he explained something that I'd been trying to define myself for a while. It wasn't US that I was interested in, it was the power structure. The last 8 years in the US have been a veritable smorgasborg of blind power grabbing and rampant disrespect for the rule of law that it's no wonder I've been obsessed with US politics.
He knows me almost better than myself.
