Invisible kitten

So earlier this week my sisters got a new kitten. And I, being the cat loving person that I am, wanted to see it. The replies below were the responses to my enquiries.

Thursday: The kitten's shy, we (meaning me) should leave alone.

Friday: It's hiding, it's in the room, but we can't find it.

Saturday: Don't go in because it'll try to escape and you'll scare it.

If this was the first week of april, I'd think they were playing a trick on me. It's not like I'm Schrodinger and looking upon the animal will kill it.

I may have to take it on faith that the kitten exists, but I have no evidence.
