I'm... disapointed. It has the same flaws as the last season, but lacked even what little laughter there was then. My dad said afterwards we watched it, and I agree, that the showrunners have forgotten what made it such a great show, the writing.

They got obsessed with making it look pretty, having special effect and going to special places. In all that they completely forgot the whole reason people liked the show so much. It was funny, it had great dialogue and was excellently written.

I doubt I'll watch it live next week, maybe watch on the Iplayer.

That's a shame. Red Dwarf is one of my favourite comedies (though those last two seasons definitely fell a bit flat IMO) and it's a pity to hear that the latest addition doesn't seem to be up too much.
